UCLH Macmillan Cancer Centre

BHC Furniture is delighted to be part of the brand new purpose-built University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, London.

This five storey building has been designed with the needs of the patients, and modern cancer care in mind.

The brief to BHC Furniture was to put a modern and above all functional product range together to support the patients’ needs but also in keeping with the design of the building.

Working with Wayne Sexton the main Project Lead for the UCLH, BHC devised a corporate colour scheme which is unique to a project such as this. A blend of predominately graphite finishes for the wooden products with splashes of colour used in fabrics were to be used. The effect is spectacular and not expected in an environment such as this.

“BHC was delighted to be one of the partners involved in the new Macmillan Cancer Unit for the UCLH. Due to the nature of the treatment and consequences, we were invited to create an atmosphere of professionalism and care combined with design and aesthetic awareness. I believe with a mixture of product, colour and fabric we have created the desired effect” Peter Bright, MD – BHC Furniture Ltd.
