Sudbury Community Health Centre
BHC Furniture was approached as the preferred supplier for the Sudbury Health Centre we had been recommended by the project lead based on a visit to the very successful Finchley PFI project which we had recently finished. The Sudbury Community Health Centre had been on the planning table for many years so we were pleased to be given the responsibility of expectation by West Suffolk CCG to deliver a Health Centre fit for purpose.
The Sudbury Community Health Centre provides state of the art health facilities for people in and around Sudbury, representing a significant achievement for the NHS and local people who played a significant role in making the project happen.
Working with West Suffolk CCG, NHS Property Service and PHD Architects the brief was to deliver a Health Ctr which was worth the wait. As with before on Health Ctr projects BHC Furniture and Senator International put a team of project designers, colour strategists and experience to produce a specification which matched expectations and budget.

A great deal of emphasis was on wait areas, these areas have the heaviest foot full, where patients will spend most of their time and usually their first experience of a New Health Centre products needed to be designed in such a way to meet the diversity of the people using the areas. Colour played a major part if the flow of the Health Centre, fabrics and vinyl’s were chosen to differentiate the treatment and consultation which made it easier for the patients to be directed
Installation was over a four day period with an additional day of snagging, with projects of this size we work very closely with the Manufacturer to deliver direct, coordinating the deliveries with staged phased installation programme.
